A PEACEFUL WITNESS TO LIFE
.jpg)
On October 10, 2008, the Victorian Parliament passed the Abortion Law Reform Act, one of the most extreme abortion laws in the world. This law eliminated all legal protection for Victorian children until the moment of birth.
In remembrance of this shameful day, we gather to march for the babies who never see the light of day in Victoria. The babies of every one in three pregnancies. The more than 20,000 babies killed in Victoria every year.
Together we express our profound disapproval with our Government's failure to:
Protect the fundamental right to life of every person in our state.
Offer real help to women in crisis pregnancies, and others who have suffered through abortion.
Allow freedom of conscience for our health care professionals.
Our goal is to overturn this terrible law and provide full legal protection to our most vulnerable Victorians.
Please join us, as we march in this peaceful witness to life, from Treasury Gardens to Parliament House, and hear inspirational speakers and music with a message of courage and hope. There's a long road ahead, but we shall overcome!
WHEN & WHERE Saturday October 9, 2010 at 2:00pm in the Melbourne Treasury Gardens.

One error is that there were thousands of pro life marchers, not hundreds! Great stuff!
me walk with you and understand that I may all the more be able to help." I write this as one time I was one the march several people took it upon themselves to treat it as a protest. Any passer by that hinted at opposing the march they shoved their banners
in their face and yelled all the more. If only those who need us most could see a more loving and caring side that doesn't say,"Let fire fall on them." But rather let us reach out and help to bring healing, education, support and anything that will help turn
the tide of this evil presence. I applaud your efforts. Please inform me how I can get more involved. (the above "protesters" need to be handles effectively. Perhaps if you had marshalls posted throughtout the lines as we all march who march with us, these
trained personel can help prevent such things occuring. Of course we are told before we march and when we arrive at Parlimant House how we should act. Perhaps it needs to be addressed a little more directly at all who march, including myself, so that we all,
together can be one in action and voice not in differing directions.
