Abortion in the Media

Vic Premier Ted Baillieu more concerned for puppies than viable babies. Please email Sunday Herald Sun in response.

Life Network Australia - Sunday, October 23, 2011

Having recently attended the 'March for the Babies' in Melbourne, and being aware that many have been emailing Premier Ted Baillieu about the current (horrendous) abortion legislation in Victoria, I was frustrated to read on the front page of the Sunday Herald Sun that Ted Baillieu is set to "Unleash tough new laws to protect pets".

While I support  the Baillieu Government's move to protect animals from cruelty, I cannot understand Mr Baillieu's total disregard for our unborn babies - for babies aborted, who would be viable outside the womb and for babies surviving late term abortions (Vic Health Dept Report, 2008), who are left to die.

Please email the Sunday Herald Sun and Premier Ted Baillieu and express your disgust that the protection being afforded to puppies and cats is not extended to the babies of Victoria: shsletters@sundayheraldsun.com.au and ted.baillieu@parliament.vic.gov.au

You may also send a text to 1993 3222 (Sunday Herald Sun) - Please remember to keep your emails and text short, original and to the point.

Just received a reply email from Ted Bailleu's office. The Senior Legal Advisor to the Premier is sending all messages regarding abortion law reform onto to the Attorney General, Robert Clark. So, I will be receiving another letter from that office saying
thanks for your feedback, no change..blah blah blah... Then Ill write again....
