Anglican Archdeacon, Peter Macleod-Miller of St. Matthew’s Church, appears to have come out on the side of abortion advocates in recent weeks.
His latest contribution to the ongoing debate in Albury is a letter published by The Border Mail, in which he argues that infants should not pray with their families outside the local abortion facility.
Only a week ago, the Archdeacon facilitated a public forum on abortion, which was attended by members of the local 'Helpers of God's Precious Infants' (despite being issued an invitation - to one member's private business email address less that 2 days earlier). Reports from pro life advocates reveal that this forum was completely supportive of those promoting abortion, and pro lifers were not given fair speaking opportunity, despite his claims that "A community conversation is about giving other people room to speak, think and live".
His letter published this week included statements such as "Those who champion the cause of the unborn think nothing of hanging children around their necks and taking them to a picket line and using them as some sort of psychological weapon or shield".
It would seem that it is fine to take babies to the abortion facility to be killed, but not to pray outside?!! The hypocrisy is blatant! Life Network Australia believes there is no greater role model than parents who teach their children to defend the voiceless, in this case those who would become their peers.
This ongoing debate is in response to the current '40 Days for Life' campaign in Albury. For more information please go to: http://abortionhurtsalbury.org/
