Around 8 years ago, I stumbled across an article by Andrew Bolt called 'We kill babies', that sparked outrage and passion to advocate for babies in the womb and born. As a result, Life Network Australia was eventually formed (with my colleague and friend, Linda Broekman) to encourage a grass roots movement, supportive of existing pro life organisations - to stand up against the killing of our babies and the harm inflicted on their mothers and families.
Before you read Andrew's follow up article, 'Baby 'abortion' argument is crossing the line', please consider whether you will use your outrage constructively...or whether you will simply waste emotion and lose sleep.. but not make a sceric of difference - your choice!
We have two possibilities, which ultimately depend on those who call themselves "pro life". Together we can stand up and not allow infanticide within Australia and end the killing of babies up until birth, some of whom are currently being born alive (after "failed abortions") and left to die.
Or....we can call ourselves "pro life" ("I'd never have an abortion")...but do nothing. Once we know the cold hard facts about abortion,the latter is unacceptable - when babies are dying at a rate of around 90,000 a year.
Yes, we all have busy lives..yes many are already involved in areas of (Church) service...yes it is ugly and confronting...but we have no excuse to avoid doing something. Our website regularly promotes events and opportunities, which you can be reminded of by subscribing to our e-news.
A war of life and death is raging around us. Will you step up to make a difference for these babies and their mothers? Because, frankly, if you aren't part of the solution, you are part of the problem. The abortion industry (soon to be infanticide) will continue to thrive if we are unmoved to action... I know I couldn't stay quiet!

Please, if you do nothing else, I urge you to attend the 'March for the Babies' in Melbourne on October 13 (details to come) - to send a message to Victorian politicians, who legalised abortion up until birth (paving the way for infanticide) in 2008.
